WDCA Spring Meeting, May 10, 2008 Print E-mail

We are looking forward to seeing you this Saturday, May 10 for the WDCA Spring Debate Coaches Meeting.  Due to a scheduling snafu with our previous venue, we had to move the meeting to a new location, and given various options, the best geographically-central location to our coaches on such short notice ends up being Rufus King High School (where we met last spring).  In the future, we will more proactively solicit hosts from our member schools.  The general coaches’ meeting will start promptly at 10 a.m.  Delectable and bountiful refreshments will be served.

Lincoln-Douglas

ottawa.jpgLincoln Douglas debate centers on a proposition of value, which concerns itself with what ought to be instead of what is.  Values are ideals held by individuals, societies, governments, etc. Neither side is permitted to offer a plan (a formalized, comprehensive proposal for implementation); rather, they should offer reasoning to support a general principle.
